Zurvo

Is my business data safe with Zurvo?

Straight answers to what small-business owners ask about their data in Zurvo: who can see it, whether your content trains other bots, and what happens if you cancel.

If you run a small business, you do not have a security team. You have a business to run, and a reasonable worry about handing your information to yet another piece of software. Fair. This page answers the questions owners actually ask us — in plain English, no legal-speak.

Who can see my data?

You, and the people you invite. That is it.

Your content, your customer conversations, and your settings live in your own account. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with other businesses on Zurvo. Inside your own account, you decide who gets in and what they can do — you can give a front-desk person access to the inbox without giving them the keys to everything.

Does my content train other people’s chatbots?

No. This is the big one, so here is the clear answer: your content answers your customers’ questions and nobody else’s.

Every business on Zurvo is kept in its own separate space — the industry word is per-tenant isolation. Your prices, your policies, your uploaded documents: none of it leaks into another business’s chatbot. When a competitor down the road uses Zurvo, their chatbot knows their stuff, not yours.

Where does my data actually live?

Zurvo only knows what you give it. It reads your own website and the documents you upload, and it answers from that. It is not reaching into some giant pool of everyone’s information and guessing.

That is actually a security feature. Because the chatbot can only talk about what you fed it, there are no surprises about what it might say. Want to change what it can say? Remove or fix the page, re-crawl, and it updates. You are always in control of the source.

Your data is also encrypted — both while it is moving and while it is stored — and every action is logged, so there is a record of who did what.

What happens if I cancel?

Your chatbot stops answering and your data is no longer in use.

Your content was always yours to begin with — it came from your own website and your own documents, so you never lose the originals by leaving. If you want your data deleted after you cancel, just ask, and we will tell you exactly what happens. No hostage situations.

Are you certified?

Not yet — and we would rather tell you that than fake a badge.

You have probably seen logos like SOC 2 or HIPAA on other companies’ sites. Those are formal certifications, and we do not hold them today. They are on our roadmap, not something we can claim right now.

Here is what we do have in place today:

  • Your data kept separate from every other business (per-tenant isolation).
  • Encryption while your data moves and while it sits stored.
  • Access control so only the people you invite can get in, with different levels for different roles.
  • Activity logs so there is a record of what happened.

If a formal certification is a hard requirement for your business — say you are in healthcare and need a HIPAA arrangement — tell us up front. We will be honest about where we are and whether we are a fit, instead of checking a box we cannot honestly check. We would rather lose your business today than get caught overstating something later.

Do I need to be a tech person to keep this secure?

No. Zurvo is one line of code on your website. It is not plugged into your point-of-sale, your bank, or your customer database — there is nothing wired into your other systems to worry about.

The chatbot only knows what you chose to feed it from your own website and documents. That keeps the whole thing small and simple: a customer-facing helper that answers from your public information and captures leads, not a system with its hooks in everything you own.

The short version.

  • Who sees your data: you and the team you invite.
  • Trains other bots: never — your content is isolated to your account.
  • If you cancel: it stops being used; your originals were always yours.
  • Certifications: not yet, honestly stated; isolation, encryption, and access control are live today.
  • Setup risk: minimal — one line of code, nothing wired into your other systems.

Frequently asked questions.

Who can see the data I put into Zurvo?

You and the people on your team you invite. Your content, your conversations, and your settings are kept separate from every other business on Zurvo. We are not selling your data or handing it to other customers. You control who on your team gets access and what they can do.

Does my content train other businesses' chatbots?

No. Your content answers your customers' questions and only yours. Every business on Zurvo is kept in its own separate space, so your pricing, your policies, and your documents never show up in anyone else's chatbot. This is called per-tenant isolation, and it is how the product is built.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

If you cancel, your chatbot stops answering and your data is no longer in use. Your content was always yours — it came from your own website and documents, so you still have the originals. If you have a specific question about deleting your data, ask us and we will give you a straight answer.

Is Zurvo certified — SOC 2, HIPAA, that kind of thing?

Not yet, and we will not pretend otherwise. Things like SOC 2 and HIPAA are on our roadmap, not something we hold today. Your data is isolated, encrypted, and access-controlled right now — but if a formal certification is a hard requirement for you, tell us and we will be honest about where we are.

Do I need to worry about security to set this up?

No. Zurvo installs as one line of code on your website — there is nothing plugged into your other systems, no database connections to lock down. The chatbot only knows what you feed it from your own site and documents, so the surface anyone has to worry about is small.
