Everything you need to set up Zurvo and get your chatbot answering customers. Search below, or browse by topic.
- Add internal notes to a conversation. Leave private team notes on any conversation to share context with your teammates — notes stay internal and are never shown to the visitor.
- Add knowledge by typing text or scraping a URL. Type facts straight into your knowledge base as owner-curated truth, or scrape a single web page — two quick ways to add or correct what your chatbot knows.
- Check your profile's completeness and evidence. See how complete your business profile is, get suggestions on what to add, and review which extracted facts are backed by a source page so you can confirm or fix them.
- Claim, assign, and set priority. Make ownership clear on every conversation — claim one for yourself, reassign it (owners and admins), and flag urgency with low, normal, high, or urgent priority.
- Confirm the widget is loading on your site. After installing, verify the Zurvo widget is live — check the install status indicator, load your site, and know what to try if the launcher doesn't appear.
- Crawl your website to train your chatbot. Point Zurvo at your website and it crawls your pages into a searchable knowledge base — with a live progress view, per-plan page caps, and a cancel button.
- Create and insert saved replies. Build a library of prewritten saved replies your team can drop into a conversation with one click, and manage them from the Settings page.
- Create custom roles with the permission matrix. Build custom roles on the Roles & permissions page: add a role, tick the exact permissions per resource, save per column, and assign it to your team.
- Create your account and set up your first chatbot. Sign up for Zurvo, walk through the onboarding wizard, and get your first chatbot ready to go live.
- Curate your Help and News content. Use the Widget Content page to publish Help articles and News updates inside the widget — add knowledge docs, write articles, add links, reorder, and feature them.
- Customize the widget's color and position. Match the on-site chat widget to your brand — set its primary color, choose which corner of the page it sits in, and save the changes from Settings.
- Edit your business profile. Fine-tune every section of your profile — overview, products, FAQs, contact, policies, team, and more — and save to re-index your FAQs for instant, accurate answers.
- Export leads and open the source conversation. Download your leads as a CSV for your CRM or spreadsheet, and click any lead to jump straight to the conversation where it was captured.
- Export or delete your account. Get a full export of your organization's data, or permanently delete an organization from the Danger Zone — a cascading delete that signs you out.
- Export your conversations. Download full chat transcripts as CSV, JSON, or Markdown — filter by status or date, pick specific chats or export everything, and copy Markdown.
- Filter the inbox by queue. Switch between the All, Needs human, Mine, SLA, and Resolved queues to focus the Conversations inbox on exactly the chats you need to work right now.
- Find leads in your past conversations. Use Scan Conversations to sweep your chatbot's earlier chats for contact details and turn any it finds into leads, without creating duplicates.
- Find the questions your chatbot couldn't answer. Use the Insights unanswered queue to see the questions visitors asked that your chatbot couldn't confidently answer, grouped and ranked by how often they came up.
- Fix a Content Security Policy that blocks the widget. If your site sets a Content-Security-Policy, the browser can block the Zurvo widget. Allow app.zurvo.ai in three directives and the launcher appears.
- Fix a gap with the Answer this loop. When Insights surfaces a question your chatbot couldn't answer, one click carries it into the knowledge editor with the answer pre-titled — fix the gap in seconds.
- Fix a widget that isn't showing on your site. The chat widget won't appear? Check the install snippet and ID, script blockers, page caching, and builder limits — with the iframe fallback for tricky sites.
- Generate your business profile. Turn your crawled knowledge into a structured business profile — overview, products, FAQs, contact, policies, and more — that gives your chatbot accurate context.
- Greet visitors with proactive triggers. Configure proactive engagement so the widget greets visitors on its own — a teaser bubble or an auto-open — with a delay, message, cooldown, and mobile control.
- Install on Shopify, Webflow, or GoDaddy. Add the Zurvo widget to Shopify, Webflow, or GoDaddy — the script tag for Shopify and Webflow, and the iframe embed for GoDaddy's sandboxed HTML section.
- Install on WordPress, Wix, or Squarespace. Add the Zurvo widget to WordPress, Wix, or Squarespace by pasting your script tag into the platform's custom-code area, then loading your site to confirm it.
- Install the chat widget on your site. Copy your embed snippet from the Install page and add it to your site — the script tag for most sites, or the iframe embed where scripts aren't allowed.
- Invite and manage your team. Invite teammates by email, grant each person a role per organization, change roles, remove members, and revoke pending invitations from the Team page.
- Keep your knowledge fresh with re-crawling. Re-crawl your whole site or a single page on demand, and on the Scale plan turn on weekly auto-recrawl so your chatbot stays current as your site changes.
- Let visitors send photos in chat. Visitors can attach up to four images to a chat message — the AI reads them to help answer, and your team sees the photos in the inbox for context on the request.
- Look up every permission by role. A complete reference of Zurvo's permissions, grouped by resource and mapped to each built-in role, so you can see exactly what Owner, Admin, Agent, and Viewer can do.
- Manage your account. View your email and account creation date, change your password from Account Settings, and manage notification and lead-capture preferences in Settings.
- Manage your leads through the pipeline. Move leads through Zurvo's status pipeline — new, contacted, qualified, converted, lost — filter by status, and work large lists a page at a time.
- Manage your plan. View your plan and month-to-date usage on the Billing page, start a plan through Stripe checkout, and switch tiers through the billing portal.
- Move a conversation through its status. Drive a conversation from Take over to Waiting on visitor to Resolved, and reopen a resolved chat when the visitor comes back.
- Plans, limits, and the free trial. Compare Zurvo's three plans and annual pricing, understand the 3-day trial and its caps, and learn what happens when you reach your monthly message limit.
- Preview and test your widget before you go live. Use the built-in widget preview to see your chatbot on a simulated version of your page, chat with it, and check your changes before installing on your site.
- Protect your edits from being overwritten. When you edit a crawled page by hand, Zurvo marks it as yours and shields it from re-crawls — so your corrections stick even as your website changes.
- Read your analytics overview. Track how your chatbot is doing with the Analytics page — conversations, answer and deflection rates, satisfaction, leads and conversion, plus charts over 7, 30, or 90 days.
- Reply as a human. Jump into any conversation and reply as a person — the composer takes over from the AI, auto-claims the chat, and records your first response time for SLA tracking.
- Review recent changes to your profile. When a re-crawl updates your business, Zurvo applies the changes automatically and lists them for review — accepting most, and asking you to decide only when they conflict.
- Review risky and downvoted answers. Catch answers your chatbot gave on thin evidence and answers visitors marked unhelpful, then fix each one with the Answer this loop before it costs you a customer.
- Review, edit, and delete knowledge documents. Open any document to read it, edit its content, or delete it — one at a time or all at once — so your chatbot always answers from clean, accurate knowledge.
- See how your chatbot captures leads. Learn the two ways Zurvo turns a chat into a lead — automatic contact capture during conversations and the proactive lead form — and where leads land.
- See what data Zurvo stores and how long it's kept. A plain-language rundown of the data Zurvo keeps — conversations, leads, trained knowledge, uploads, and logs — and honest answers on how long each is kept.
- Set up and understand human handoff. See how a visitor asks to talk to a human, what happens when they do, and how to configure handoff — the enable toggle, notifications, response targets, and offline message.
- Set up the proactive lead form. Turn on the in-chat lead form to collect visitor contact details — set the title and subtitle, choose which fields show and which are required, and pick when it appears.
- Set your chatbot's name, greeting, and fallback message. Give your chatbot a name, write the greeting visitors see first, set the fallback for questions it can't answer, and turn the chatbot on or off.
- Start your 3-day free trial and choose a plan. Compare Zurvo's three plans, understand the 3-day trial and its caps, and learn how to activate your chatbot.
- Switch between light and dark mode. Toggle the Zurvo dashboard between light and dark mode, and understand why the on-site widget always shows light to your visitors.
- The built-in roles and what they can do. Understand Zurvo's four built-in roles — Owner, Admin, Agent, and Viewer — and the owner-only actions that can never be delegated to anyone else.
- The dashboard at a glance. A quick tour of the Zurvo dashboard — the navigation, your home stats and quick actions, and the account menu.
- Track handoff SLA and analytics. Read the handoff queue badge and scorecard in your inbox — open queue, average first response, and SLA breaches — measured over a rolling analytics window.
- Track your usage and message quota. See how many of your plan's monthly messages you've used with the usage meter on your dashboard and billing page, and learn what happens when you hit the cap.
- Troubleshoot a chatbot that won't answer. Work through why a Zurvo chatbot stops answering — a paused plan, a reached message limit, a disabled bot, missing training, or an expected abstention.
- Troubleshooting FAQ. Quick answers to common Zurvo issues — a reached message limit, a stuck crawl, a rejected file or photo, a handoff not notifying you, and missing emails.
- Understand how your chatbot answers. Your chatbot answers only from the knowledge you give it, cites its sources, and holds back when it isn't sure — here's why that grounded approach matters.
- Understand how Zurvo isolates and protects your data. How Zurvo keeps your data separate from every other business — per-tenant isolation, rate limits, CSRF and SSRF protection, encrypted secrets, and audit logs.
- Understand the widget hub visitors see. The widget is more than a chat box — it has Home, Messages, Help, and News views. Here's what each one shows visitors and how the tabs appear.
- Update payment details and find invoices. Open the Stripe billing portal from the Billing page to update your card, download invoices, change your plan, and manage your subscription.
- Upload documents to your knowledge base. Add PDFs, Word docs, PowerPoint decks, and text files to your chatbot's knowledge base — Zurvo extracts the content, chunks it, and makes it searchable.
- Use the team inbox. Open the Conversations inbox to see every visitor chat in one list — search by name, email, or message text, read the status badges, and page through history.
- What happens if a payment fails. Learn how Zurvo handles a failed payment — your plan isn't downgraded automatically — and how to resolve it through the Stripe billing portal.
- Work with multiple organizations. Create and switch between organizations, each with its own dashboard and data, and understand how billing works when you run more than one.
- Your first-week checklist. A step-by-step path to take your chatbot from empty to live: train it, review your profile, customize the widget, install, test, and invite your team.
