Add an AI Chatbot to GoDaddy — 5-Minute Install.

Add the Zurvo AI chatbot to a GoDaddy Websites + Marketing site using an HTML section and the iframe embed. Full step-by-step guide with GoDaddy's real limits.

Add an AI chatbot to GoDaddy in about five minutes.

GoDaddy’s Websites + Marketing builder doesn’t have a Zurvo app, and it doesn’t need one — you add the chat widget through GoDaddy’s built-in HTML section. There’s one important honesty point up front: GoDaddy’s HTML section runs custom code inside a sandboxed iframe and does not execute a page-level <script> tag in the site source. So on GoDaddy the reliable method is Zurvo’s iframe embed, not the script tag. This guide uses the method that actually works on GoDaddy.

The 30-second overview: copy your iframe embed from Zurvo, add an HTML section to your GoDaddy page, paste the iframe in, publish, and the chat appears. About five minutes.

Before you start.

You’ll need:

  1. A Zurvo account. Any plan works — every account starts with a 3-day free trial (50 messages) you can use to install and test. Sign in at app.zurvo.ai.
  2. A trained chatbot. Point Zurvo at your website and upload any docs so it has content to answer from — about five minutes; see how it works.
  3. A GoDaddy Websites + Marketing paid plan that includes the HTML/custom-code section (Basic and up).

Step 1: Copy your iframe embed from Zurvo.

Because GoDaddy sandboxes custom code, use the iframe method rather than the script tag.

  1. Sign in at app.zurvo.ai.
  2. Open your workspace and go to Install in the sidebar.
  3. Find Method 2: iFrame Embed and click Copy. Your embed looks like this, with your own chatbot ID:
<iframe
  src="https://app.zurvo.ai/widget/YOUR_CHATBOT_ID"
  style="position: fixed; bottom: 0; right: 0; width: 400px; height: 550px; border: none; z-index: 9999;"
></iframe>

Step 2: Add an HTML section in GoDaddy.

  1. Sign in to GoDaddy and open your Websites + Marketing site, then click Edit Website.
  2. Go to the page where you want the chat (your home page is a good choice).
  3. Click Add Section at the point in the page where you’d like it.
  4. Search the section list for HTML and click Add.
  5. In the section’s Custom Code field, paste your Zurvo iframe embed.
  6. If there’s a Forced Height option, leave it blank for auto-height (or set a height that comfortably fits the widget).
  7. Click Done, then Publish.

Step 3: Verify it’s working.

  1. Open your live GoDaddy site in a normal browser tab (a private window avoids cached versions).
  2. Scroll to where you placed the HTML section — the chat should be there. Click it and confirm it opens with your greeting.
  3. Ask a test question and confirm you get a grounded answer.

Because GoDaddy embeds the code in an isolated iframe within the section, the chat lives where you placed it on the page rather than floating over the entire site. That’s a GoDaddy platform limitation, not a Zurvo one — see the note below.

A note on GoDaddy’s limits.

GoDaddy’s Websites + Marketing builder intentionally sandboxes custom code inside an iframe and doesn’t allow page-level JavaScript in the site source. Two practical consequences:

  • The floating launcher method (script tag) doesn’t apply here — use the iframe embed as shown.
  • The chat sits in the section you add, not as a site-wide floating bubble on every page. Place the HTML section prominently (for example near the top of your home page, or on a dedicated “Support” page) so visitors can find it.

If you later move to a platform that allows a page-level script — WordPress, Squarespace, Shopify, Webflow, or Wix — you can switch to the floating script-tag install for a launcher on every page.

Customize the look.

The widget is styled in Zurvo, not in GoDaddy: set the brand color, greeting, and hub content in your Zurvo dashboard, and the embed reflects it. See the chat widget page for what’s customizable.

Troubleshooting

The chat doesn’t appear. Confirm you pasted the iframe embed (Method 2), not the script tag — GoDaddy won’t run the script version. Make sure you clicked Done and Publish, then reload your live site in a private window.

The frame is cut off or too small. GoDaddy’s HTML section can constrain height. Clear any Forced Height so the section auto-sizes, or set a larger height. You can also widen the iframe by adjusting the width/height values in the embed’s style.

A cookie-consent banner is blocking it. If you use GoDaddy’s cookie banner or a consent tool that blocks third-party frames until acceptance, allow app.zurvo.ai so the frame can load.

I want a floating bubble on every page. GoDaddy’s builder can’t do a site-wide floating launcher because of its sandbox. If that’s a requirement, consider one of the script-tag platforms linked above, where the widget floats on every page from a single snippet.

Frequently asked questions.

Will the chatbot slow down my GoDaddy site?

No. The chat is loaded in an isolated frame that runs alongside your page rather than blocking it, so your GoDaddy content renders normally. The widget itself runs from Zurvo's servers, so it adds no load to GoDaddy's builder.

Does it work with my GoDaddy template?

Yes. You add it through GoDaddy's HTML section, which any Websites + Marketing template supports, so it works regardless of your design. On GoDaddy the widget appears via the section you place rather than floating over the whole site — see the note about GoDaddy's limits below.

Which GoDaddy plan do I need?

The custom HTML section is available on GoDaddy Websites + Marketing paid plans (Basic and up). The free/trial tier typically doesn't include the HTML/custom-code section, so you'll need a paid Websites + Marketing plan to add it.

Can I style the widget to match my brand?

Yes, in Zurvo rather than in GoDaddy. Set the brand color, greeting, and hub content in your Zurvo dashboard. The styling lives in the widget itself, so it looks the same wherever it's embedded.

Do I need a developer?

No. You copy one embed from Zurvo and paste it into a GoDaddy HTML section — no code to write. It takes about five minutes.
