Getting Started

Your first-week checklist.

A step-by-step path to take your chatbot from empty to live: train it, review your profile, customize the widget, install, test, and invite your team.

You’ve created your account and set up your first chatbot. Here’s the recommended path to take it from empty to live and answering customers. Work through these in order — each one builds on the last.

1. Train your chatbot

Point Zurvo at your website and upload any documents you have. Zurvo crawls and reads your content into a knowledge base, and that’s what your chatbot answers from. Start here, because an untrained chatbot has nothing to say.

2. Review your business profile

Fill in your business details — hours, services, location, and tone. Your profile gives the chatbot the context it needs to answer accurately and sound like you.

3. Customize the widget

Match the on-site chat widget to your brand: your colors, name, and greeting. This is the face customers see, so make it feel like part of your site.

4. Install on your site

Add the widget to your site with a single snippet — Zurvo gives you the exact code and steps for WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, or a custom site.

5. Test it

Open your site and chat with your own bot. Ask the questions your customers actually ask. If it can’t answer something, that’s a signal to add or fix content — and your insights will surface those gaps for you automatically.

6. Invite your teammates

Bring in the people who’ll help — agents to work conversations, admins to manage settings. Set each person’s role so they have the right level of access.

Team & roles

Once you’ve worked through this list, your chatbot is live, on-brand, trained on your content, and ready for your team. From here, keep an eye on Insights & Analytics to see what customers ask and where to sharpen your content next.
